Seven foot two tall and seven foot two wide. Those two numbers are the reason to look at this 1999 Elite Custom instead of a standard three-horse. Most bumper-pull three-horse trailers measure 7 feet or narrower and 7 feet tall. Two extra inches in each direction is not a rounding error when you are loading big-bodied horses that need room to spread their feet and balance through a corner.
Thirteen and a half feet of usable interior
Overall length is 20 feet with 13 feet 6 inches inside. That is generous stall depth for three head. The doors, partitions and drop-downs all work as they should, which on a 1999 trailer is worth saying out loud. Seized partition latches and drop-down windows that will not stay up are the two most common gripes on trailers this age.
Tack and feeding
The tack room carries a boot and tack storage box plus bridle hooks. The saddle rack rotates in and out, so you can pull one saddle without wrestling the other two. A factory hay rack sits up top and feed bags hang in the stalls, which covers a long haul without stopping to rearrange the whole trailer at a rest area.
Axles and tires
Eight-lug axles, heavier duty than the six-lug setups on most bumper pulls this size. Tires are new including the spare, and all lights are confirmed working.
